The IAI1 blade is made from the finest Dc53 high-carbon steel and is individually heat-treated to harden the blade edge. Highly experienced swords craftsmen and artisans make these superb swords. All the fittings and habaki that you see on these swords are made from Iron. The Tsuka is tightly bound in brown Japanese cotton over quality rayskin. The Sayas are constructed from wood and finished in a matt black lacquer.  These swords are the real things, not replicas.  Supplied with a dull blade for safe training in the sword arts.
